Sydney Howard enrolls at Wayne State University

2012 Sep 21

Sydney Howard of Saint Clair is among the 4,870 new students who have enrolled at Wayne State University for the fall 2012 semester.

"We're proud to welcome this newest class to the university's 145th academic year," said provost and senior vice president for academic affairs Ronald T. Brown. "We're confident that this group of Warriors will carry on our rich legacy."

Founded in 1868, Wayne State University is Michigan's only urban research institution offering more than 370 academic programs through 13 schools and colleges to nearly 29,000 students. Wayne State boasts the most diverse student body among Michigan's public universities. Its students represent every U.S. state and more than 65 countries.

Wayne State is located in the heart of Detroit's Midtown neighborhood, which is home to world-class museums, theatres, libraries, concert halls and restaurants. The university combines academic excellence with the practical experiences of an institution whose history, location and diversity make it a microcosm of the world students will enter when they graduate.
